This is a really good question that has been discussed somewhat
on this list over time.

McDonalds, Subway and Pizza Hut all have nutrition guides on the web.
Arby's and Burger King have had paper but have at times been harder to get.
Haven't checked the web recently for them. I have seen one for Long John
Silvers once but when I looked for it again I couldn't find it.

Anyway, some of these guides are only guidelines as local suppliers may
provide food that is slightly different :). Such as the guideline
specifications don't list whey in buns but the local owner/operator
bought from a supplier that put whey in the buns. I've run into this
a few times.

And as all good food suppliers do, they change the recipes over time.
Pizza Hut used to make a crust that was dairy free, now all their
crusts and sauce have whey or cheese in them. Burger King took whey
out of their french fry coating (!!!) at last check, but they
have whey in their buns. :(

Sometimes the nutrition guides aren't specific enough either. Like
the ingredient list that specifies "light mayo". As we all know and love
light mayo may contain dairy of some sort or another.

Dennis.
