Does anyone know if maltodextrin is derived from milk (or grain?) or if it
can cause an allergic
reaction in individuals?  My son's gastroenterologist insists it is a sugar
and cannot cause
reactions.  It is a principal ingredient of Neocate One+, a supplemental
amino acid liquid which my
2 yr old is supposed to drink to help him gain weight.  Has anyone ever had
reactions to this stuff?
My son seems extra cranky and his eczema is worse; he's itchy and up at
nights. Any help greatly
appreciated.  It would be great if he could drink it.
