I am in desperate need of some emotional support! Tested both boys today on
their backs for allergies. My oldest reacts to dairy, eggs, apples,
oranges, pineapple, cashews, brazil nuts, dyes etc. He was NEGATIVE for all
(except possibly shrimp and oranges...). We saw a pediatric allergist at
the hospital I work at, who is WONDERFUL. But I had two residents, two
nurses and the doctor looking at me with blank looks after the negative test
as I frantically described his physical and emotional reactions to dairy.
They listened, but said that my story was not common at all.

We are going to challenge him on December 2 in the office. The boy will
have his first icecream, and God help him. I will give it to him there and
keep him occupied for a few hours. I PRAY he reacts in enough time for the
doctor to see it... sometimes it can be delayed. My poor guy might go
through heck that day, just because of an allergy test. But I have to prove
it so I can get some answers.

Who else has experienced this? Also, I would love to look in the archives
for negative tests... how do I get to it?

Thanks all!

Katherine (the I SWEAR I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP! Mom)
