We have a 2 1/2 yr. old daughter with a severe milk allergy and also a
liver disease that was supposed to slow her growth and weight gain. Someone
forgot to tell her - she's off the chart in height and weight now. We
found an instant oatmeal (Western Family brand) that is completely dairy
free - we just use her soy milk. She drinks a lot of juice. Most days
at the babysitter, she eats a Gerber Graduate meal - there are 4 that have
absolutely no dairy. We eat a lot of steak, burgers, roasts and potatoes.
She snacks on ritz crackers (loves them). She also eats a lot of fresh
fruit and veg in the summer. Hope this helps some for ideas. For a working
mom who has to pack a lunch for the day care every day, the Gerber Graduate
meals are a God-send.
