Here's my recipe, it never fails!

Wacky Cake
Sift into large bowl:
1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. bkg pwdr
1 tsp. bkg soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp cocoa

make three wells and put following ing. in, one per well, in order given:
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp vinager
5 tbsp veg. oil or melted butter

Pour 1 cup of warm liquid -coffee, water, orange juice, all over wells and stir to
blend.
Pour into an 8x8 greased pan and bake about 30 min at 350F. This is a snack cake
size, and this recipe can be doubled.

Enjoy!
