Or read the menu.  Most sushi menus include a description of what's in the
rolls.

Another downside to the sushi bars that make rolls with cream cheese is
cross contamination can happen.  I've reacted a few times after eating
california rolls, which contain no dairy...but may have been sliced with
the same knife that had just slices a dairy containing roll.
