I tried a similar recipe using Vitamite dry granules. It didn't thicken
like normal sweetened condensed milk. I'll probably try it again and change
the recipe to add a thickening agent (corn starch?). One of the means used
to thicken milk is to add lemon juice. It is part of the recipe I use but
the lemon juice had no discernable effect. I've used coconut milk milk in a
recipe for Magic Cookie Bars. It wasn't thick enough and soaked through the
topping and made the graham cracker base soggy. If you're using it for
fudge, it might work but I wouldn't bet on it. I just checked my recipe
book and the only difference is the addition of lemon jiuce. Ironically, no
amount is given! I used to add 1T.
