Hi -

I know that kosher is supposed to mean dairy free, even unto the tiniest
hint of milk protein, but my husband has had the occasional attack after
eating kosher-pareve desserts (usually also involving chocolate, like
frosted brownies). The food came from kosher groceries and bakeries
in areas with large Orthodox or Hassidic populations, so we're not sure
what's going on. All we know is not to trust kosher pareve desserts.
If anyone has a clue we'd love to hear it.
