When I wrote about my mother's experiences with me, the loose stools
developed when I was older, around 18 months, not as a breastfed newborn and
were looser than before (when I was breastfed).

However, when I checked with her re: my husband's nephew the key thing she
mentioned was the smell  -  I have multiple food intolerances and allergies,
and a milk reaction is very very distinctive for this!

Someone else mentioned the redness in the nappy, almost like an acid burn -
I can confirm this one too, as an adult suffering from the same thing
(though thankfully not in a nappy LOL).  Right now I am suffering due to
accidentally eating a little onion last night and both the smell and the
burning are absent (however, the other aspects of the reaction are worse,
unfortunately).

26 years old, Lactose/Casein intolerant/allergic for 25 years, not sure
which, don't care either anymore!  Also allergic to onions, other alliums
and the nightshade family (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers in ascending order,
never tried eggplant).
