Crepes make a great non-milk snack for kids. We use to make them
by the doz. and keep them on a frig shelf divided by wax paper, or,
for longer term storage keep in plastic zip-lock bag. The kids loved
to grab one or two and wrap what they like inside to form a sort
of roll-sandwich. What's wrapped can be anything you can eat in a
sandwich and even apple slices or other fruit, jelly, apple or peanut
butter,
sliced or slivered meats, etc. They liked to make their own and eat
on the run soas not to miss out on playtime. They even enjoyed making
the crepes, especially learning to "flip" them without tools (easy using
stick-free skillet). It is a healthy treat, especially if you use (part)
whole
wheat flour and/or buckwheat along with (mostly) regular flour. Also,
beer can be used instead of water -- adds nice flavor which my wife
loves even though she hates beer.

For meals wrap blueberries, strawberries or whatever in several crepe and
lay them on a plate, use some pancake syrup and sprinkle with a little
powered sugar -- maybe nuts or other sprinkles. It makes eating fun.
One of my sons (and I) love them with sliced peaches.
