At the risk of being reduntant, I recall recently that the subject of
lactalbumin came up and that it did cause a reaction in some milk
allergic and intolerant people.

I told a Pharmacist that I needed a protein/metabolic powder that was
diary/wheat/egg free and he told me to take Medipro from Throne
Research. He said that he had recommended it to milk allergic people
before and had no complaints. He said the lactalbumin was processed
so people who reacted to dairy could tolerate it.

There are a lot of amino acids, vitamins and minerals listed , but the
ingredient list goes like this:

1) Hydrolyzed lactalbumin
2) calcium citrate
3) magnesium citrate
4) potassium citrate
5) ascorbic acid

etc., etc., etc.

Based on experience, I didn't really trust his opinion 100% because I
know that most medical people just go on assumptions and recycled
information when it comes to food allergies, unless they themselves
know what it is like first hand. But, I went ahead and paid $25.00
for 18 ounces.

I took it about 3 times and not only did it taste horrible, but I
reacted to it. I am sure it is the lactoalbumin but maybe it is the
ascorbic acid? Can anyone tell me what the consensus on lactablumin
is? I would appreciate it.
