I forgot to mention that most if not all my symptoms have been autoimmune
related and celiac disease can cause all of them. Not everyone will exhibit
the same symptoms and some may never show any digestive distress. So far,
statistics in Europe say that at least one person out of every 250 has this
disease. The free tests being done at the U of Maryland are trying to see
how prevalent it is in the USA as well as create a less invasive 'gold
standard'. I started investigating milk products because my family and I
exhibiit typical symptoms caused by milk. I realize I was only scratching
the tip of a glacial villi. My life threatening symptoms didn't start
appearing until I was 28. Many of you may already know celiac disease, but I
hope my writing this will help even one of you to avoid the same road I've
been on. Susan
