To the List:

In my last post I stated that Pillsbury(Green Giant) had put pizza
bundles in their bags of corn, therefore cross contaminating it for the
milk allergic. I emailed Pillsbury and asked them to recall their corn
and they are not going to because they were unaware of anyone being so
allergic to milk that their throats would close. It would have been
different!! if it was peanuts they were dealing with. I was trying to
inform them that a milk protein allergy is just as serious as a peanut
allery. If I cannot get them to recall the corn, I would like to make
sure that they never do this again. A coupon would have been more
practical. I tried to explain to them that milk was one of the more
common allergens but they have no knowledge of this. I would like to
provide that knowledge to them. If anyone would like to email me, or
post to the list the details of what milk protein can do to a
person/child with anaphylaxis/severe allergies. We need to show them
what cross contamination can do. I will be getting a package together to
send to Pillsbury, to educate them on MILK allergy, and I would like to
include as many peoples dealings with milk allergy as possible.

Thanks
Hazel Green
