Jane, Regarding applied kinesiology in diagnosing allergies/sensitivities: In
brief, my chiropractor puts the suspected food within my electrical field
(under my tongue, or touching it) and tests the strength of my muscles
compared to when no offending food. I lie on my back and put my arm straight
up and resist as she pushes against it gently. She also touches various
organs and can pinpoint which "system" is affected by the food. Recently I
found out I was ok on commercial citrus fruit, but the wonderful organic
oranges I had just bought caused weakness, in particular when she touched my
kidney area. It reminds me of electrical circuitry. She was the first one to
pinpoint milk as a sensitivity/allergy. I can't tell from this method if it
is a sensitivity or an allergy. Sensitivities can go away. Allergies are less
likely. As you can see, it is very non-invasive and a simple way to find out
if a food is affecting you negatively. My personal experience has been that
it has been totally accurate, although my chiropractor doesn't claim it to
be. It is particularly helpful in finding delayed reaction foods. Corn took
7-10 days to show up, but I ate it almost everyday and couldn't see any
correlation until my chiropractor found it. I then avoided corn for a few
weeks and tried it again and started counting. Repeated the experiment
several times until I was convinced. Hope this helps. Carrie

And by the way, to the listmember who answered about applied kinesiology a
day or two ago, you'll find that as you get the allergens out of your diet,
adjustments hold better. At least mine do.
