Dawn- Did you say your hospital had your son on a formula while you were
waiting on your milk to come in?! This sends shivers down Lactation
Consultants' bodies! Your milk comes in by the infant sucking on YOU and by
the infant getting no other source of nutrition but YOU (all supply and
demand) and this process works most effectively by NOT giving the baby any
artificial nipple (bottle, pacifier, etc.) Sounds like your doctor was
misinformed...

I am doing a survey for my nutrition class-I'd like to know how many
allergic kids out there were exclusively breastfed for at least the first 6
months and continued breastfeeding to at least a year without any formula
