Hi all

I've read with interest the current topic about what to say to your
host/ess, and big do's.

My family suffer from LI and quiet simply we explain to our hosts that both
my wife and daughter can't eat anything prepared with milk, in whatever
form. Our host/ess think nothing of it and so far so good.

With regards to restuarants and big events we speak to the caterers and ask
if any of the food contains any milk products and, especially with
vegetables ask for them to be served unbuttered, again with have no problems.

I do, however, understand those families that are dairy allergic and can
only suggest that a little advance notice goes a long way, especially at
wedding and big family dinners.
 All the best
Alan
