I'm the one who mentioned MSG in BBQ sauce. Most of them liost natural
flavors, hydrolyzed protein, or spices---all of which may contain MSG,
but sometimes don't. My information (anecdotal) comes from practice,
where MSG patients react to Bulls eye and Masterpeice.

I could be wrong (I often am).

PS-- If anyone has a good recipe for ranch dressing, I know many who
would appreciate it.
