My daughter was in the hospital after an anaphylactic reaction to milk in
food and given prednisone containing lactose while there. She did not have
any major reaction but it took two days for her asthma to clear up enough
that they would let her go home. She kept saying she had the taste in her
mouth that she only gets when she eats something that contains milk products.
I finally thought to check the meds she was taking and that was it. Now when
she needs prednisone she uses the syrup.
