Steph -- Your experience seems to be counter-intuitive. The Soya oil based
margarine likely has whey in it. According to someone else on this listserv,
whey is 80% lactose. It is possible you are reacting to something other than
lactose. I am LI with some allergic reactions to milk and
intolerances/allergies to others. It's hard to tell with foods. Good luck
