Susan,
Have you tried other milk substitutes?  DariFree is a potato based milk.
Blue Diamond is supposed to have a wonderful tasting chocolate milk.  For
eating cereal, my son also uses Mocha Mix non-dairy liquid creamer found
next to the cream & liquid coffemate.  Even my LI hubby liked the Mocha Mix.
Albertson's has their brand too that is dairy/casein free.
