What are your favorite dairy substitutes?

  Anyone been successful in making a nutritional yeast based dairy
free "cheese" or a nut cheese?  I keep on looking at recipes and
wondering about them.

My daughter badly wants a cheese pizza. I have perfected a gf pizza
base but have not had any luck making it taste cheesy.  I bought a
fake cheese that she turned her nose up at.
