Have you tried calcium fortified juices as a source of calcium?  My
daughter's favorites are the orange juice and the cranberry juice coctail,
both calcium fortified.  We too, have looked into calcium supplements and
vitamins for my daughter (who is 10) but most are made for adults, and most
of the kids' vitamins have lactose and/or aspartame!
