I live near Pittsburgh in WV, 59, and a typical LI.  I diagnosed
myself at age 26, after recalling many cramps and diarrhea after
milk ingestion.  Gradually got worse -- now even small portions
cannot be tolerated, and there are other foods I suspect.  From what
I have read on this list and from personal experience I believe (hope)
that I can identify the other culprits on my own rather than go
through tests, especially since I'm not anaphylactic.  I have been
an "LI list lurker" for about 2 years and have learned much.
