I don't want anyone to panic, but I seem to remember calling Kraft-General
Foods about a year and a half ago, inquiring about dairy products in Jello,
and if I remember correctly, the customer service person that I spoke with
said that she couldn't confirm (guarantee) that Jello did not contain dairy.
PERHAPS, however, she was confusing dairy with plain old "cow" as Jello DOES
use parts of the animal to make the jello (Hooves I think). Maybe she
thought I was more concerned about being vegetarian, than 'dairy' free.
Needless to say, I will make another telephone inquiry to them.

I guess also, it would be how dairy intolerant a person was, and that maybe
if jello DOES contain dairy, the amount might be small enough that it
doesn't affect most people.

As for coconut milk, I LOVE coconut milk, but it's supposingly very bad for
the arteries (high in fat) so I try to stay away from it if I can.
(Sometimes I do make rice with it).

I wonder if the Jello (if it is non-dairy) would work with soya milk? I
will have to give it a try. Thanks.
