Even with "safe" ingredients, you have to keep in mind cross
contamination.  I stopped going to subway a few years ago after several
visits where I saw grated cheese from their cheese sprinkler all over all
the vegies.  What good are non-dairy bread and meat if the vegies have
been sprinkled with grated cheese?
