I'm not sure how to pronounce casein either.

My dauughter is allergic to milk too. She is now almost 2 years old, but we found she was allergic when she was about 8 months old. We discovered it one night when we went out for sundaes, and we fed our daughter a couple of spoons. About 10 minutes later, we noticed a bright red rash with white spots forming around her mouth and face. Soon it had spread to her back and belly. She appeared not to be in any pain or discomfort right then, but later that night, she vomitted and was not feeling very well. It was a strawberry sundae, so at the time, we weren't sure if she was reacting to the strawberries or the dairy. So, we waited a few days and then rubbed a little bit of milk (cows milk) on her arm or back, and then checked it a couple of minutes later. And the rash appeared again - quickly. So, since then we tried skim milk, and goats milk, and she reacts to those. We found that soy milk is fine for her to drink.

We've been told that quite a few infants have an allergy to cows milk, but then most of them out grow it by 18 months.

Hope you find something that helps.

Ryan
