Don,

I've found that my symptoms come and go with a lot of factors - for milk and
for my other allergies (which are definite allergies!).  Stress, general
health, even where I am in my cycle (obviously not a possibility for you!)
all seem to affect it.

If you can weaken occasionally this is good - I usually can with milk (and
am going through a very bad patch at the moment due to a combination of work
stress and my mother being ill induced stress) and it is nice to not have to
worry occasionally!

It may also be that you are growing out of it as you say, but I'd watch out
for it coming back.
