The number of unsubscribe requests sent to the group indicates that quite a number of people find this process unintuitive.
Perhaps we could add a link to the bottom of the messages pointing to the relevent info?

Something like:
"See http://www.nomilk.com/welcome.txt for changing subscription options or unsubscribing"
