Hi Everyone,
I am very excited about a food company I have just found out about. I think
you will be too when you hear about what products they are making. I wanted
to share the information with you, since you can have influence on where in
the US the products are distributed.

Garden-Good Things is a small two-family run business in B.C. Canada that
has been around for about 5 years. They are just now beginning to distribute
their products to the US market.

They have three products that I think everyone will be thrilled about. I
have not tried them, but from the description, I am imagining that they are
excellent.

1. A non-dairy "milk" called Whyte's DariFree. It has a very "neutral"
flavor and can be used very successfully to make pudding (cook-type), cream
pies, cream soups, sauces, hot chocolate, etc. It is ready-made, unlike
Vance's Dari-Free, and will come in a flip-top container (similar to the
packaging for Rice Dream beverages). Products made from the "milk" are
reportedly indistinguishable from those made with regular milk. The
ingredients in Whyte’s DariFree - Maltodextrin (from potatoes), Potato
Starch, Dehydrated Honey, Natural Flavors (no MSG), Crystalline Fructose,
Calcium Carbonate, Titanium Dioxide, Carrageenan, DiCalcium Phosphate, Sea
Salts, Tricalcium Phosphate, Potassium Citrate, Lactic Acid.

2. A dairy free " ice cream" (DariFree*ze) that is reportedly
indistinguishable from regular ice cream. It comes in flavors of chocolate,
strawberry, mango, banana, raspberry, and cappucino.

3. A protein-free yogurt (made using an enzyme from a plant root!).

These products ARE now available, but the DariFree milk product is the only
one currently available in the US, in select places. The ice cream and
yogurt are new, so the Canadians may not even have tried these. They are NOT
yet available in the US.

The Dari-Free is currently available at Trader Joe's in 11 states. They are
working on distribution at Albertson's, and want to put all three of their
products in as many grocery stores as possible.

This is where you can help! Go to their Web site at where you will find
Customer Store Request Form (at the bottom of the page) and click on it. In
the area that says, "Please state reason why, you have chosen to use Whyte's
DariFree" indicate which products you want to be able to purchase, and name
a grocery store where you would like to buy them that is near you. The more
requests they get, the better! The buyers need to know where there is
interest in the product. Sign your name and city/state (street address
unnecessary). You can fill out the form several times if you have more than
one grocery store, health food store, etc. where you would like to purchase
these products.

On this Web site, you will also find a listing of specific stores in
specific cities where the Dari-Free can be found.

I spoke with one of the company owners, Adrianna Henry, a lovely woman who
is very anxious to make their products available to people in the U.S. who
must have dairy free products.

You can also call her at 1-800-399-3113 for more information. But do use the
Web site to register your interest in having these products available in
YOUR neighborhood! Please do it as soon as possible, to have the most
influence while they are trying to get established in the US!

I do not have any financial interest in this company.

Maizy
