I think you are going to see more of that.

The big push in manufacturing is to changes procedures and/or equipment,
greater use of subcontracting, and other changes to allow them to adjust
their product mix to meet demand, instead of maintaining dedicated lines,
paying overtime, laying people off, etc. as demand changes.  For most
products, the cost savings is greater than the value of the allergy market.
 All the more so in the mass-market food industry where selling price is so
important.
