Star Kist Solid White Tuna (albacore) often contains hydrolyzed casein.
Chunk Light uses broth. The casein will be listed if it is there. The
broth and the hydrolyzed casein (any protein will do) is the method of
adding glutamate (MSG) for flavor enhancement, because tuna is rather
bland. To avoid the MSG in tuna, try Star Kist Low Salt Low Fat Tuna,
sometimes called diet tuna. It contains only tuna and water, and tastes
very bland until you mix it with other stuff. This tuna is usually found
in the diet section of the grocery.
