My children were exclusively breastfed as well for the first 6 months, starting some solids around that time...and extended nursing through 2 years. My son was reacting to the dairy in my diet...though being my firstborn, well, sadly I feel like he was the one I "learned" on.

Predisposition to an allergy from my experience is predisposition. My daughter was nursed the same way, with me on the same diet (watching carefully) and she never developed allergies like Ben did.

It's guess work. It's not like broken bones. The autoimmune system is not fully understood yet. Cancer, allergies, lupus--we have no cure, we just don't know yet, we are still treating symptoms.

I can tell you that I did not vaccinate my second born, because every vaccine made my son's immune system worse and more compromised, noticibly.
