Hi, I was on a strict ketogenic diet four years ago and it was basically
the Atkins diet minus dairy products (and I can't eat gluten, corn or
soy either). It helped me greatly (with hypoglycemia) and I still follow
a modified version. Alot of protein and complex carbs but I would
really thing that with an epileptic child that there would have to be MD
supervision. Johns Hopkins would be the place to check I think as their
clinics use the diet for epilepsy. Good luck and be careful, it is
difficult to maintain and does give the body a big shock.
