I too have experienced cloudy ears from allergy. My understanding is it takes
at least 21 days from the last exposure to any form of milk for it to pass
out of the system. How long it takes for the inflamation to go down, I don't
know. However, if you've been treating with antibiotics, chances are good
you've destroyed the good bacteria too, and maybe have a case of candida
flaring up. That alone will give cloudy ears. My chiropractor says there is
a connection between good bowel health and ears. Go figure, but it plays out
in real life. So I would suggest you get a good non-dairy acidophilus/bifidus
supplement and take it faithfully to restore the intestinal balance. I would
guess you'll see good results within a month or less, based on my own
experience. The non-dairy acidophilus I am currently using and am very
pleased with is PB8, the vegetarian version. I've seen it at Cub Foods (MN)
in the medicine section of all places. It doesn't need refrigeration, and I
noticed it can come in powder or tablets, although I don't know if the powder
is dairy-free. I've also ordered it from Blooming Prairie Buying Club, a
warehouse that supplies natural foods coops. I've seen it at health food
stores and probably at the coop as well. It costs less than $10 usually for
60 tablets. When I am reestablishing a healthy bacterial culture in my body
after antibiotics, I take 2 with each meal and at bed for about 2 weeks and
then taper off to 2-4 daily. I have no connection with the company that makes
it and don't off hand even remember their name. If anyone wants to know the
manufacturer, email me privately and I'll go dig it up. Carrie
