We need to bottlefeed the baby we're expecting in early February, and
we're trying to figure out which formula to try. I'm wary of
Nutramigen and I'm wondering if Carnation Good Start might work.

Some background:
We have a son, now 2 1/2, who seems to be lactose intolerant. He was
on Nutramigen for his first 6 months and was quite colicky for 5 of
those months. I suspect the colic was actually reflux, but of course
his pediatrician said he would grow out of it, so they never treated
it. After the Nutramigen, he was on SMA until he was a year old.

After we started him on whole milk at 1 year, he would wake up every
night two hours after his cup and cry inconsolably for about a half
an hour. We switched to fortified Rice Dream and suddenly we had a
golden, happy child who slept through the night and hasn't had an ear
infection since. I can count on one hand the number of formed stools
he's had in his life, but that's another story.

I'd REALLY like to avoid the colic this time!!!!
