I knew that something was wrong, because she refused to nurse for more than
a few seconds from birth and was being labeled as failure to thrive.  We
switched her to soy based formula that was dairy-free because both of her
sisters had reactions to dairy-based formula.  It did take us several months
to figure out the exact source of the problem.
