A New Paradigm for Illness Monitoring and Relapse Prevention in Schizophrenia

An effective multi-modal mobile monitoring, early detection, and
intervention system for schizophrenia could alter illness trajectory,
mitigating the acute and long term impact of psychotic relapses on
patients, their caretakers, and communities. A broadly available
system could radically change when, how, and to what effect
treatments are delivered, allowing for a paradigmatic shift from
reactive to preemptive care for schizophrenia.
