Around 10% of us hear voices that aren't there. Most learn to ignore them,
but for those whose voices are associated with a psychiatric illness these
voices can be frightening and menacingly real. We examine new research on
how auditory hallucinations occur in the brain, and what it's like to live
with voices in your head.
