Unless hires are done for political mileage/nepotism, I would not raise an
eyebrow when they are made.  I would like to think that before any hires are
made, the qu
alifications of the person for the post have been vetted, the
person deemed qualified and ready for the task for which they were
hired.  Could it be that conditions for optimum performance are lacking?
That they have their hands tied in regards to what they can make happen in
their particular departments?  That regardless of who is put in there,
success will not be attained?  It would help Gambia greatly if we can get to
the underlying reason for the lackluster performances which resulted in the
firings.
