Hi Jabou, Njok, Coach and everyone!
The gap that has been created by the passing of MJ cannot even be expressed. As stated yesterday and corroborated by the Gambian Talents press release, MJ was not only a singer but an instrument player, composer, producer engineer, graphic artist and allrounder. Bulldoff is the grassroots recording studio in The Gambia producing many if not most of the local talents, jingles, advertisements etc. I fell in love with Peppa House Crew when they released "Lo Fokk" a long time ago because of their conscious and radical lyrics and fine beats. I met them only once but they have left a lasting impression on me. I feel the passing of MJ more because I chatted with him and he had a lot of ambition and the talent to match it. He talked about his dreams, trials and tribulations. Watching him around in the studio and observing his talent, I felt really sad that he and his crew didn't get the respect, acknowledgement and remuneration they truly deserved. Especially touching for me was when MJ, during the interview, asked what the Gambian people wanted from the musicians, why the Gambian people found it impossible to like them, what they can do to make the Gambian people like them and then maybe if they did those things, they would be appreciated. MJ was truly a star and his creations are testament to that. His passing is not only a loss to his family but also to all Gambian musicians and the country at large. Let us take comfort in the fact that despite his young age, he has left a lasting impression and made his mark in The Gambia. The Almighty created and took him back at this tender age for reasons best known to Him. I pray that the Almighty Allah gives him Jannah. I pray that Allah also gives his family the strength to cope with his passing. I also hope that we as Gambians (promoters and fans) start taking stock of our responsibility towards Gambian artists, sports people etc. Thanks.
                                                                                                                                Buharry.

May his soul rest in peace. A big loss indeed at a very early age.
Definitely a talented and industrious young man after listening to the interview.
Best Regards,
