Professor Said's death is indeed a great loss to the Palestinian cause and
to the intellectual world. How coincidental that I was reading his 'Power,
Politics, and Culture: Interviews with Edward Said' when I saw the breaking
news on TV.

I hope other intellectuals will similarly stand up to the unjust treatment
of weaker nations and peoples of this world.
