Baba,
I have read your book, Mandela's Other Children. It has depicted, not
only the character and disposition of a Gambian journalist, but also a Gambian
who takes his sovereignty very seriously. What you have been able to make of
yourself, is fundamentally what is necessary to arouse and build the
character of a sovereign Gambian people who will not allow their sovereignty to be
diminished or negated by anyone.

I therefore implore you to build on these characteristic traits, not
only with a voice that is articulate in its literary expression, but also a
forum that will accentuate and mobilize a mass consciousness movement in which
people can begin to redeem themselves.

It looks like very interesting times are ahead. You are striving to make
a difference. Regards.

     Rene
