Good Afternoon,

We would like to invite you to our upcoming AfrICANDO 2003 conference in
Maimi from July 22-26. This event is a trade and investment symposium
designed to bring together African, Caribbean and American
businesspeople. It will involve workshops, field visits to sites, and a
trip to the Bahamas to learn about the tourism methods and strategies
used in a developing country in the Western Hemisphere. As with our
last five annual AfrICANDO conferences, this will be a valuable
opportunity to learn more about these issues and network with many
people involved in business and tourism.

I would like to encourage anyone who is interested in this to attend.
If you are interested, please contact us to register or for more
information.

Thanks,

Heather Lehman

The Foundation for Democracy in Africa

Over the past five years, the AfrICANDO Trade and Investment Symposia
have collectively brought together thousands of African, Caribbean and
American businesspeople for seminars on trade policy, transportation,
finance and other issues in an effort to identify and overcome obstacles
to trans-Atlantic trade. AfrICANDO 2003 will be targeting the entire
tourism industry, including hospitality, attractions, tour operators,
transportation/aviation, cruises, etc.

This year's five-day conference program is a combination of workshops
(with titles such as "Constructing a Tourism Infrastructure", "The
Impact of Tourism on the Economy", "Cruise Industry Trends", "The Future
of Global Tourism" and a Youth Leadership program), field visits to
sites in the South Florida area, and a trip to the Bahamas to learn
about the tourism methods and strategies used in a developing country in
the Western Hemisphere.

A matchmaking business program will involve African and Caribbean
businesspeople and government officials brought specifically for
networking with American businesspeople in cooperation with the U.S.
Small Business Administration, The City of Miami International Trade
Board, various national Chambers of Commerce in America, Africa and the
Caribbean as well as tour operators, travel agents and visitor's
industry operators from Africa, United States and the Caribbean.

40 booths are available for companies that would like to exhibit during
the five-day conference, and more booths will be provided for the Arts &
Culture Folk Life Festival taking place Saturday, July 26th at the
Bayfront Park Amphitheater. The Festival takes place the last day of the
conference and will include music, food and shopping for all.

For more information and/or booth reservation, please contact The
