Mr. Sambou:

We will get back to formally announce this bid. We will definitely have a
spokesperson to answer any pertinent questions you may want to ask.

We reserve the right to have a spokesperson.

Naphiyo,
Comrade ML Jassey-Conteh

Conteh, I do not doubt your sincerity for one bit. However, I have a
problem with this request of yours. Here we are trying to impress the need
for a coalition among the five Alternative parties. How do you suppose a
sixth would do for us? What is your constituency? I mean, who are your
supporters? The last time I remembered, you were an NCP/Dibba ally during
the last presidential elections and supported Dibba when he joined Yaya.
Now, there is nothing wrong with that and you have a right to free
association. Since Dibba owns the NCP as we know it (correct me if I'm
wrong), is your intension to form a new party? You are not even talking
about joining the Alternative, but going straight for the juggler -
Nominated candidate against Yaya. Conteh, Diasporans are not king makers
the last time I was aware. If you so wished to get support I suggest that
you go to The Gambia and whip up mass support of your vision and this here
fellow will support you if your candidacy made more sense to me. For now,
our best chance in my view is to form a coalition of the willing. That is
Joe's thinking and others are certainly entitled to their own view of the
situation. This also, is by no means to suggest that you cannot do as you
wish. In fact, it is your right as a citizen to run for any office of your
heart's desire. Please educate me on your perspective. Good luck with your
aspirations.
