Gambia-L,

The UDP, knowing that they are going to loose the elections have started
provoking the security and the APRC so that they will have a reason to cry
foul. Yesterday, the UDP militants, blocked the street, trying to prevent
the President's motorcade from going through. How on earth could they even
think of that? No body blocks a presidential motorcade, no matter what
country one is. Luckily, their plan was know in advance and the security was
ready for them. They exercised control and fire shots in the air to disperse
the crowd. Major Tamba, State Guard Commander was able to take all necessary
control to avoid bloodshed.

This incident happened at the Serrekunda market junction. Ousainou Darboe
was nowhere near the scene of the incident. Ousainou Darboe was already at
his house when this incident happened. Why were they blocking the
President's motorcade?

Why do they have to resort to such provocative actions? They will not
succeed. The APRC will not fall into their trap. The APRC refused to be
drawn into violence.

PEACE

Tombong
