Mr. Sambou:

I completely agree with your call to channel our minds, monies, and energies
to the parliamentary elections. For us to succeed, we will need to make an
internal assessment of our commitment as a group, be generous with our
wallets, and establish a line of communication with the opposition parties.
In my opinion, we didn't have a clear/direct line of communication between
us as a group and the opposition parties. Writing on the L is just that,
writing on the L. Eventhough we are not on the grounds, we can organize a
conference aimed at uniting the opposition parties. If we can do that, the
mistrust that may exist between some opposition parties will be a non-factor
because our efforts will be non-partisan. I don't think we can raise a dime
if they are unable to unite. On a personal challenge to myself and any one
who wants to compete, I will not consider my efforts successful until I
collect contributions from 100 Gambians. If I have to run a phone-a-thon
from my home so be it.

Got to run take care

MJohnson
