I just talked to someone who knows Sanoh very well. He is a family man,
originally from rural Gambia. He now lives in his compound in Brikama with
his mother, wife and kids. Although his term in the Army has effectively
ended this year, he has not formally taken leave due to uncertainty about
life after the army.
Since last year he has been expecting a friend in the US to help him with an
invitation letter. This person finally agreed and has recently traveled to
the Gambia. He is currently taking some courses at GTTI while he waits for
the letter and a possible visa to the US.

It should be noted that Sanoh could not even afford the bus fare he used to
escape Yahya's thugs! You wonder why someone looking for a life in the US
would be part of a "coup plot".
