Arsenal's ineffectivity in the box this season - failure to always cream the
beautiful football we play with a goal - is due mainly to the fact that both
our fix strikers, King Henry and Van Persie, have been out almost all season
due to injury.
That, and the fact that almost half the first team (Bergkamp, Lauren, Cole,
Campbell, Ryes, Pires, etc., left after last season and most of the
present squad are quite young, in their teenages and early twenties, also
played a role. But as you can see, the game time allowed those kids has paid
off as they've grown through the season, with Fabregas runner up to young
player of the year; so watch out for the Gunners next season!
