Malanding, thanks for this forward. The NIA issued a threat and the Dock Workers Union Dealers chickened out, but couched it in the interest of peace in the country, the new and abused song of Gambian daily life. Ours have gone so bad that we equate being able to breathe and drink water as evidence of peace in the country. And to cap it off, the most brutal and vicious since our break with the British, in Yaya Jammeh, is the father of the peace movement in the Gambia. The man that threatened folks with Six feet Under; that murdered more Gambians than snake bites; and the new definition of the Don, as in Don Corleone. The new motto now is to use the April 10/11 Massacre as a threat campaign. Could the threat from the NIA have read, "you remember what happened to the students". This time none of the leaders will be spared. Gambians, if you intend to be afraid for the next hundred years, you can expect to stay the victim for that duration or more. Since when is fighting for employment rights the same as not being peaceful? Sad state of affairs indeed.

But hey, if Gambians want to see this as progress of the first order, who is Joe in the bigger scheme of things. Thus, I join the union dealers to thank Yaya for increasing the peace in the country. I also joined the religious Dealers to not just pray, but pray heavily for God/Allah to keep his son and gift to humanity, Yaya, with us to serve us plenty. I also glady plenty for Bobo Songular dey cure Sidaar. Medicine man dey sell Sour Sour, kin cure hed cole, tohor tohor, even kobo foot. Just dey take two bananas and Tiga Degeh, ehee! Amen! Chei Africans! Someone once said education is expensive and another responded, try ignorance.
