Highly placed sources within the APRC say there is a split among the party's
  ranks.   Baba Jobe a close associate of  the president Yahya Jammeh, are
reported not to be in good terms with Jammeh.  Sources say Jobe's D20million
dalasis tax evasion  scandal did not go down well with the head of state,
which prompted Jammeh to order that Jobe must pay his tax laibilities.
Sources quoted the president of having said that from now on he will not
allow Jobe's calibre to tarnish the image of his regime, which is widely
linked to rampant corruption and lacked of respect for the rule of law.

Jobe and his supporters had been organising secret meetings.  It is not yet
clear what they had been discussing, but sources say the aggrieved APRC
supporters are not happy with the president's pronouncements that Baba jobe
must pay his tax liabilities.    Yakuba Touray the party's Guewel is also
running his own camp.
